Overview

PMO Manager Manchester £30,354 18 months Fixed Term Contract with possibility of extension PMO Manager required by our client, an international organisation currently implementing a global transformation programme across diverse areas of its structure. PMO Manager will be involved in ensuring the successful delivery of the change portfolio by supporting Programme/Project Managers/SROs to deliver the agreed scope on time and on budget. PMO Manager will Collects and maintain data in a consistent format, report progress to senior management and to assure programme governance standards have been met. Based in prestigious offices in Manchester the role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a multicultural environment. They are offering a salary up to £30,354 bonus & exceptional benefits including attractive pension scheme (employer contributions up to 22%) and 32 days holiday plus bank holidays.The role is offered as an 18 month Fixed Term Contract initially with possible extension. PMO Manager - key skills & experience Experience of working in an IS PMO or Portfolio function Experience of building relationships with the business users and becoming a trusted advisor Ability to develop roadmaps for the business Experience of setting and managing significant IS budgets Experience of dealing effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a matrix environment Financial management and control skills Administrative, organisation and coordination skills Ability to work effectively across functions/hierarchies. Knowledge of change implementation planning and management Degree level qualification or equivalent Prince 2 or MSP Foundation level Prince 2 Practitioner level ITIL V3 PMO Manager - key accountabilities Support the development and implementation of the latest technology Assist in the development and roll-out of project and programme lifecycles and methodologies Support the following of best practice on assigned Projects or Programmes (specifically, lifecycle governance, prioritisation, resource management, assurance, financial controls, tracking, reporting and other PMO related items). Actively engage with others working in the PMO area in other functions and teams to help share learning, problem solve and build a community of practice that delivers value Management of the Project Budget and alignment with organisational reporting cycles Support the project / programme manager in programme closure and lessons learned process Maintain close relationships between the programme and project and business areas, to ensure responsibilities and dependencies are clearly defined and understood You’ll beworking in a truly global organisation impacting and improving the lives of millions of people, connecting with colleagues in multiple countries including key GIS hubs in Poland and India.
