Overview
Our client, a leading not for profit organisation based in South East London , is currently recruiting for an Events Fundraiser on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is £24,010 - £25,529 increasing to £24,490 - £26,040 from 1st April 2020. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years’ experience in fundraising or events management. Duties will include (but not limited to): Support the development of a strong stewardship programme for event supporters to enhance their experience, increase fundraising and develop their engagement with the organisation, turning them from one-off event fundraisers into committed supporters Support the Community and Event Fundraising Manger and Senior Event Fundraiser with dispatching materials and answering general event enquiries from supporters Help to oversee a network of fundraising volunteers within the catchment area, building relationships to develop strong engagement. This includes recruiting, maintaining effective communication and managing volunteers both at events and in the fundraising office Project manage and deliver a series of key existing events to achieve agreed income targets, identifying opportunities to maximise income and broaden the supporter base Manage budgets for these events, ensuring that income and expenditure meets set financial targets whilst maintaining efficient and effective tracking and evaluation systems to support project plans Work with the whole of the Community and Event Fundraising team to deliver the team’s income target of £1 million Experience required: Minimum of one years’ experience in fundraising or events management Experience managing budgets for events Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Events Management Fundraising Budgeting Working hours : 36 hours per week May include some evening/weekend work Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
