Job Description: The Senior Events Manager will direct the planning, development, management and execution of events to support the firm's strategic goals while managing a team of direct reports. Dimensional events form an integral part of both of our internal training and personnel development, as well as our go to market strategy for new business and client relationship development. On a day to day basis the Senior Events Manager will have interaction across distribution, corporate services, portfolio management and research/investment solutions both locally and globally. The successful candidate will have end to end experience of corporate event planning, contracting, managing multiple timelines, and facilities management. Responsibilities: Oversee and assist in the contract, planning and execution phases of all events; small and large scale; such as meetings, luncheons, conferences, dinners and receptions. Work as a strategic partner to business groups on the requirement, planning and delivery of high-quality events, understanding the businesses client culture, change in regional client strategy and supporting these initiatives with pre-planned event design. Coordinate logistics for internal meetings, in-house and external client events and internal learning sessions and workshops. Including audio/visual services, food and beverage, decor, and vendor management. Manage conference budgets, data collection and archiving. Develop and maintain centralized reporting dashboard to track virtual metrics. Hands-on involvement and service-minded attitude from pre-event management to post-event follow through. Manage and adhere to master event calendar and timelines and coordinate cross-department resources. Create and manage custom websites for events using Cvent's software Ensure quality control for all conference deliverables, including proofreading and design approval. Ensure brand standards across all regional events. Manage continuing education offerings including sponsorships, registrations, submissions, data archives, and audits. Organization of trade show participation to include booth deliverables, signage, marketing literature, speaking engagements and ancillary activities. Oversee and manage the development of the Events team and help support their growth within the department. Requirements for the role: A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Extensive experience in corporate event planning required, ideally with several years spent managing a team/direct reports. Proven ability to effectively manage people and their development. Understanding of auditorium staging and support for meetings of all sizes. Ability to work equally well in a team environment and independently. Ability to work with C-level executives, global management team, internal and external customers. Self-starter who is an independent thinker capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task across different projects and events in parallel. Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Cvent) with the ability to learn as needed. Knowledge of finance and/or hospitality industry a plus.
