Overview

An exciting opportunity at a top 20 Accounting firm; they are looking for a strong candidate to fill a Personal Tax Manager/Senior Manager role. The candidate would ideally be CTA qualified although other strong experienced individuals would be considered. A proven track record of experience working in a Practice firm is essential. To manage and control a substantial portfolio of High Net Worth clients, ensuring both excellent client service and making a significant contribution towards the overall future development and success of the Private Client team. The clients will be a mixture of UK domiciled, non-domiciled, resident and non-residents including some clients with offshore trusts. Responsibilities and Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in a Private Client Tax environment, ideally in a compliance/advisory role. CTA/ATII qualified or equivalent. To act as day-to-day tax point of contact, managing a portfolio of private clients, and to practice the principles of excellent client service at all times. Deal with work as it arises on the portfolio including the annual compliance cycle. To build new and existing client relationships and identify business development opportunities. To manage assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangement. To ensure tax quality at all times by adhering to the firm's quality standards. To provide tax planning and advice working closely with colleagues and other departments in order to add value to the client. To provide adequate briefing, supervision and training for junior staff and review work completed by junior staff for adequacy and completeness. To develop and maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, and to fulfil the professional bodies' CPE requirements including maintaining an awareness of the firm's specialist services and publications, attending staffing meetings and training. Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the line manager, Head of Department or any Partner. Some knowledge of the taxation of UK resident non UK domiciled individuals and offshore trusts would be helpful.
