Key Responsibilities Working as part of the Research and Development Team participate in the hands-on design, development and unit testing of the company’s products following and contributing to the existing design and coding standards. Mentor other members of staff and contribute to the future design and development of the company’s products. Required Skills At least three years’ experience in OO development on Microsoft .NET platform. Development capabilities including event driven systems multithreading, distributed objects and communications. Working within a collaborative Agile development team using case management tools such as Jira or DevOps. Use of Microsoft development tools including Visual Studio, SQL server and TFS/DevOps. Experience in the development of either client-server or N-tier based application. Experiences of technologies such as HTML, XML, JSON and Web Services. Familiarity with some web-based development technologies from the following: Knockout, Angular, Typescript, Require or Less. Strong understanding of relational database theory and designing queries for SQL Databases. Job Specification To design, develop and unit test the requirements as defined by the business. Proven ability to develop to coding standards with ownership of delivering quality software. Ensure that all work complies with defined product architecture, design patterns and quality management standards. To work with the Technical Architect and R&D Director on reviewing requirements and providing development estimates and guidance. To work with the Product Managers to ensure that the design of the requirements reflect customer needs and desired product usage. Participate in code reviews. Lead and contribute to the overall design and productivity of the team. Keep abreast of, and agree planned research into, emerging technologies and methodologies, providing recommendations on exploiting them for business benefit.
