Service Desk Technician Job title: Service Desk Technician Job Type: Permanent Location: Birmingham Salary £20,000 - £25,000 per annum My Client seeks a Service Desk Technician to join their service desk team. My client offers a fantastic training and development programme. Promoting with in the client looks to develop Service Desk Technician into a 3rd line engineer and into team leaders in line with company growth. Service Desk Technician Responsibilities: ·Dealing with IT related issues over the phone and on client sites in line with SLA’s. ·Assessing issues quickly, taking appropriate action and escalating when required ·Monitoring client backup problems / Resolving client backup solution issues ·Supporting Microsoft products and Windows operating systems ·Supporting Citrix and Microsoft servers ·Supporting and deploying Cisco equipment. ·Supporting cloud-based systems Service Desk Technician skills and experiences required: ·Windows Desktop Support ·Microsoft Exchange Server and SQL Server Support ·Virtualisation concepts and support including ability to troubleshoot ESXi and vSphere systems ·Ability to deploy Cisco Networking devices and troubleshooting ·Commercial acumen to spot sales opportunities ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills ·Strong ability to self-learn and progress ·Experience of Remote Desktop and Citrix ·Ability to trouble shoot Client VPN and Site to Site VPN ·Active directory – change passwords, update settings, create and delete users ·Exchange Server – create new users, update email addresses, change forwarding, check mailbox sizes Desirable: ·Experience working with any cloud base system. ·Active directory – change passwords, update settings, create and delete users ·Exchange Server – create new users, update email addresses, change forwarding, check mailbox sizes If you are looking to work with a company that is passionate about keeping up with the latest technologies and have the interest of their employees at heart, then click to apply for the Service Desk Technician opportunity.
