Permanent Assistant Management Accountant job in Aberdeen, Salary £26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience Your new company You will join a £18mill t/o business in Aberdeen with a friendly and community orientated culture, in an Assistant Management Accountant position, reporting into the Financial Controller. This organisation has strong growth plans and has experienced year-on-year growth in recent years. Salary is £26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience Your new role In this position, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly accounts, supporting the management team through the provision of robust financial information. You will provide support to two Accounts Assistants within the finance team, responsible for purchase and sales ledger, banking, credit control and ad-hoc tasks. Your role will include monthly balance sheet reconciliations, completion of VAT returns and EC sales returns in addition to the preparation of weekly supplier payment runs. You will prepare annual UK budgets, provide support in credit control and the annual audit process. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to enhance processes and procedures and undertake ad-hoc finance tasks as required. What you'll need to succeed Working in a pro-active team and open plan environment, you will have strong communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. You will a strong understanding of accounting processes and exposure to management accounting tasks. If you have finance experience and are looking to develop your career to the next step, taking on a management accounting remit, this could be an ideal move for you You will have strong Excel skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly. You will be involved in the development of processes and procedures, therefore problem solving ability and strong organisational skills will be essential. You may have qualifications in accountancy & finance or may have worked in accounts roles to date, seeking your next step.
