Overview

Maintenance Electrician Potters bar Starting salary £41,657 We are looking for an electrician to provide an electrical service to a Medical service involving the maintenance of general and containment laboratories, production filling area, cold rooms and offices. The position is for days only, 37 hour week, but will include being part of the on call rota.The company operates two daytime shifts covering the core hours of 8am to 5:30pm. You role will be to objectives co-ordinate and complete the planned preventative maintenance programme for the specialist plant and equipment making sure the correct maintenance routines are set up. You will also need to be reactive and investigate/respond to faults and unscheduled tasks as they occur. You will be able to prioritise workloads effectively to ensure that the site continues to operate safely. To successfully apply for this role, you should be fully qualified electrician With experience in a Maintenance or Building Services environment and 3 years experience working with electrical systems supporting containment laboratories or equivalent safety systems. You must have also worked on a range of electrical systems including working to and updating of associated documentation (Risk assessments, SOPs). You will need to have a Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations (inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations) or equivalent qualification as well as a thorough working knowledge of the current IET Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations, The Electricity Safety, Quality & Continuity Regulations as amended (so far as they deal with NIBSC's installations), the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and of any Regulations dealing with NIBSC's installations which may be issued, relevant statutory and British standards and Codes of Practice, and of the Construction Industry Safety Regulations. In addition to the salary, you will benefit from 25 days holiday as well as Pension and Sick Pay after your probationary period.
