DATA ENGINEER LONDON (LONDON) BETWEEN £55,000 - £70,000 This role will involve operating as a Data Engineer within a high performing Data Engineering team. The client is household name within car insurance. They are looking to build a greenfield data platform to ingest vehicle telematics data to understand the driving behaviours of their customers better. One of the main challenges you will face in this role is processing data at such high scale. COMPANY: The company have been operating within the car insurance and car recovery space for over two decades. They a strong customer base - but they now want to employ their data assets to tailor their offering to each individual customer. They have recently hired a CDO to spearhead this transformation ROLE: Building data pipelines using Python Adherence to best practice software engineering principals (Python)(TDD, Unit testing, OOP) Developing the existing AWS infrastructure (Terraform, S3, Lambdas, Kinesis, EMR) Ability to contribute to architectural conversations SKILLS & EXPERIENCES: Software engineering skills (Python) Experience building complex & scalable ETL pipelines Adherence to best practices such as TDD & BDD Commitment to continuous learning HOW TO APPLY: Please register your interest by sending your CV to William Wrigley via the apply link on this page
