Overview
Our client is a very successful manufacturer of specialist machinery for plastics and rubber industries. Due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of International Field Service Engineer. The successful Field Service Engineer will be an experienced electrical / mechanical engineer with excellent plc controls knowledge, Siemens, Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley The Role: Reporting to the director you will be undertake machine build, installation, commissioning, service maintenance and repair duties at our clients factories both in the UK and overseas. The role involve extensive international travel with approximately 50% of your working time will be spent overseas. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following; Assist with the assembly and build of machines at UK plant. Plan and lead machine installation, commissioning and maintenance for UK and overseas. Wiring electrical control panels for machines Plc's Siemens / Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi Fault find and repair machinery Mechanical fault find and repair, hydraulics, drums, ball screws etc etc 3-phase electrical fault find and repair, servos, motors, inverters, contactors, switches etc etc Liaise with customer at all times regards installs, repairs and maintenance activities Candidate: You will be a multi-skilled engineer (electrical bias) ideally with previous maintenance experience in heavy industry manufacturing sectors e.g. plastics, rubber, injection moulding, extrusion. You will have excellent 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills as wells as good mechanical engineering capabilities. Applicant must have excellent plc controls knowledge S7, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi candidates with programming skills will have advantage. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 40 hours OT and overseas travel Benefits: Excellent basic salary Negotiable - OTE £45K 28 days annual leave Pension Flexible working options
