Overview

An Interim Senior Risk & Governance Manager is required for a 12-month fixed term contract with an investment management firm to take responsibility for risk oversight, compliance and investment management monitoring. The role also encompasses SMF16 oversight. There is the possibility for flexible working, with the potential to split your time 50/50 between home and their Nottingham head office. Start date: April/May. Your main responsibilities will include Expertly assessing risk across the organisation, quantifying risk limits and acting as custodian of the risk appetite Developing and monitoring an ongoing evolution risk mitigation programme Providing a voice of governance for the business, educating clients with the ability to challenge, support and strengthen client risk strategies through a collaborative, consultative relationship Communicating the firm's risk profile effectively to all stakeholders using a variety of channels and media Maintaining and championing the firm's risk culture Build cyber risk resilience through understanding the changing developments in relation to cyber risks, IT and digital technology Oversight of the firm's anti-financial crime policies and procedures You will be an experienced risk professional with a proven track record of effective ownership of risk and compliance within the financial services (FCA or PRA regulated) arena. Previous investment management / fund management experience would be highly advantageous as would SMF16 (or CF10) oversight experience. You will have extensive working knowledge of SMCR, MiFID and GDPR regulations, whilst any experience of CASS and AMMS is also desirable. Superior communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. You must also be available to start at relatively short notice.
