Due to business growth, Bluebird Care are recruiting for a Payroll & Finance Assistant to join a busy Accounts team in the Chelmsford area. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm In return as our Finance Assistant we will offer you a competitive salary and fantastic benefits including: - Competitive Salary and opportunity to increase earnings with annual bonus - On-going training - Pension rate - Health benefits scheme (including discounted gym membership) - 20 days holiday plus public bank holidays Responsibilities as our Finance Assistant: - Raise sales invoices and credit notes using booking system - Allocate customer payments received (this includes taking card payments over the telephone) - Deal with customer finance queries by phone or email - Liaise with office employees to ensure the correct fees are charged - Process monthly payroll using our booking system and Sage payroll - Answer payroll queries including holiday pay, SSP and tax codes - Assist with Credit Control - Process purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments - Other Ad-hoc duties Skills and experience required by our Finance Assistant: Essential: - Competent on Word, Outlook and Excel - GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade C or above Desirable: - Knowledge/experience with Sage Payroll, Sage 50 Accounts - Experience of working with zero-hour contracts - Has worked in a team environment, therefore a good communicator - Experience working in the health and social care sector - Proactive, focussed and able to work towards deadlines So, if you want to be part of our family, why not apply today to join us as our Finance Assistant .
