London’s award-winning Cancer Centre and one of the UK’s largest independently owned non-profit hospitals are looking for an Oncology Staff Nurse to join its team. Treating all types of cancer, they have 8 sites where they perform complex procedures as well as routine surgery and medicine. As an Oncology Staff Nurse, your responsibilities will include: - Providing efficient, effective and evidence-based nursing care to cancer patients. - Being competent in the recognition of life-threatening, and/or oncology emergencies. - Enabling clinical effectiveness by mentoring/facilitating junior staff to achieve optimum competence and clinical performance inpatient care. - Undertaking the role of mentor for student nurses and junior staff within the ward. - Partaking in education/training programmes and practice development forums, as well as evaluating quality and the impact on the service using audit and benchmarking. We are looking for an Oncology Staff Nurse who has the following skills and experiences: - Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin. - Significant clinical experience in oncology care. - Post-registration course within this specialist field of Chemotherapy. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday). In return, an Oncology Staff Nurse will receive a salary of £37,000 - £43,000 per annum.
