Strive Supply Chain are delighted to represent our client, a global organization, in their search for a unique Manager to support the automation & engineering teams. This highly analytical role is all about attention to detail across a large-scale, fully automated operation with state of the art technology running on a 24/7 basis. You will be responsible for managing 5 highly skilled technicians. Ultimately you are tasked with ensuring minimal disruptions / bottle necks and downtime to this fast moving, high pressure operation. The role: To have accountability and responsibility for the performance of the technician team. To ensure all key performance indicators are monitored and achieved through effective management Contribute to and support the day to day operational strategy through effective communication and the proactive approach to management of automation Have accountability and responsibility for the performance of the department(s) and achievement of all KPI’s Ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met To partner with peers and other key contacts Identify opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvement Provide management colleagues and 3rd party suppliers with statistical reports, analysis and recommendations To develop all colleagues through multi-layer management skills To ensure that all worked hours are logged as appropriate and processed to provide accurate payment To facilitate effective communication within the department, across the site, and the wider business Level of experience needed: Experience of a high-volume operations Knowledge of automation Must have managed a team of technicians / engineers PC literate, with the ability & willingness to learn & become expert in new systems Ability to problem solve & create process improvements Excellent communications skills, both written & verbal The ability to influence, persuade & co-ordinate as part of the Operations Team Experience in operating ERP systems Able to analyse data and make decisions based on the information This is an excellent opportunity to join a true market leader and gain experience within a significant and large operation with opportunities to progress your career - Candidates are therefore invited to apply immediately Strive Supply Chain Limited [& associated businesses] acts as an employment agency on behalf of external employers for the provision of permanent staff.
