Role: CAD Technician / Space Planning –Refurbishment & Fitout – Small Works/Special Projects Ref: 5874 Location: Kent, Maidstone Salary:c£25K My client provides construction services and professional expertise along with end products to their clients undertaking construction or refurbishment works. They design, procure, manage and deliver programs of works for them. They now have a requirement for a CAD Technician / Space Planner to work in their Maidstone office. Responsibilities will include: · AutoCAD experience 2D mainly, not detailed design · Additional skills with, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, and/or 3DS Max would be advantageous · Construction sector experience preferred; other sectors considered · Prepare drawings from Architects / Engineers packages · Good numeracy and computer skills · Good communication skills · A knowledge of material properties · An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods · Good problem solving skills · Creative flair · Ability to work as part of a team · Ability to meet deadlines This is a role for a design technician with some experience of using the latest Auto CAD software, you will have some similar sector experience and be keen to work and gain further experience in the construction sector. My client’s projects are generally small value, ranging from £10k-150k occasionally reaching £500k plus. Typically, they include, office fitout, extensions, schools, maintenance projects, in and around Kent, London and the SE. They are a small business, relatively new and going places.
