Overview
Outreach Worker for Young People role based in South East London paying up to £12.50 per hour Your new company They offer and provide young people with daily life skills such as cooking, budgeting, accessing education, training or employment etc. This will be based around structured key work sessions to vulnerable young people. These sessions will aim to promote the life skills of young people and support their transition into adulthood. Your new role To deliver and support Young People towards living independently by providing life skills to individuals which meet around their support needs. This will be based around a living package of structured key work sessions to vulnerable young people aged 16 - 25 years old. These sessions will aim to promote the life skills of young people and support their transition into adulthood. What you'll need to succeed Manage a caseload of between 1 - 10 young people living semi-independently in the community Monitor the young person's ability to engage with everyday living and develop skills where necessary by supporting their identified needs Support the young person in settling within the community and accessing local resources Encourage and support young people in accessing education, training or employment as well as supporting them with any application process Support and assist young people around budgeting money, grocery shopping and administer a weekly subsistence allowance Encourage the young person to engage and take part with positive activities within the community, building on relationships and developing social networks Maintain accurate record keeping and receipts for each expenditure Ideally QCF/ NVQ Level 3 Award in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) What you'll get in return Full time hours (35 per week) Competitive rate Weekly pay Potential for longer contract What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
