Overview
Our client a major Building and Civil Engineering Contractor operates throughout the UK in various sectors including healthcare, education, industrial, retail, marine and rivers, energy, commercial and leisure. Due to an increasing workload, they now have a requirement for a Site Manager from a main construction contractor background to get involved in a number of recent £ multi-million Design and Build educational and healthcare awards in the Inverness/Aviemore/Moray area To manage and successfully deliver parts of the project and/or packages of work within the project. To Assist Project Manager in day to day management and delivery of a larger scale project Experience of major educational/healthcare construction projects or similar would be of benefit. Prospects are fantastic and the starting salary is very competitive. The Role Reporting directly to the Project Manager Overseeing projects from start to finish Project planning, budgeting and identification of resources required Building teams, developing goals and objectives and assigning responsibilities Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular progress meetings with the stakeholders Ensure projects documents are in order Co-ordinate all parties involved in the project To maintain a high standard of health and safety on site and within the companies health and safety policy To control all site activities and deal with any site problems or queries To manage project within budget and on time To maintain a high standard of finish on the project The successful candidate will have Proven experience in a similar role in a main build contractor environment Ability to demonstrate a track record of experience in dealing with clients at a senior level Significant post qualification experience of project/site management and/or contract administration of building works of all sizes, including fit out and refurbishment, and covering both traditional and design and build procurement Demonstrate experience in working to agreed targets within a commercial environment
