Overview
LEGAL CONSULTANT A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Consultant to join a rapidly growing Financial Services company based in Central London. With beautiful offices in a very central location, this role would be working within a small in-house legal team who are trusted advisors in counselling the business on day-to-day matters. The ideal candidate would be an experienced qualified lawyer with experience of working in house. Reporting to the Director of Legal, this role is initially offered as a 3 month FTC and is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced dynamic in-house Legal Team. The Legal Consultant will hold the following responsibilities: - • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including, but not limited to: Member Agreements, Reinsurance Agreements, Retrocession Agreements, NDAs, MOUs, LOIs, Service Level Agreements, Third Party Service Agreements, Deed of Variation and Deed of Novation. - • Counselling business units on day-to-day legal issues and areas of risk. - • Providing advice to stakeholders with respect to key areas affecting the business / operations e.g. data protection. - • General legal support. Required competencies and experience: - • Solicitor admitted to practice in England & Wales with 5 years PQE ideally. - • Strong analytical skills - • Sound judgment with an ability to prioritise effectively - • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and comfortable with liaising with Stakeholders - • Experienced contract negotiator with commercial awareness - • Team player - • Highly organised - • Intermediate/Advanced MS Office skills
