A market leading FMCG business based in Portsmouth has entrusted the Interaction financial recruitment team to secure an ambitious Management Accountant to form a key part of their succession plan. This branded blue-chip business is experiencing a period of rapid and sustained growth and the business is investing heavily in new service lines and divisions. This newly created opportunity sits within the leadership team of their highest growth business area and will play a strategically important role in advising directors by producing a first-rate management information pack that encapsulates and tracks key business drivers. This house hold name attracts the highest quality finance professionals as the accountants are relied on heavily to run the business s and not viewed as a back-office function as is typical within many organisations. This market leading opportunity will involve some of the following highly commercially focussed duties and responsibilities: -Full responsibility to produce an insightful management information pack with associated commentary for the leadership team. -Play a key role in management meetings to help the leadership team understand the financial implications of decisions that may have to be made in a fast-paced environment. -Working with the key budget holders across the division in an interactive budget setting process including tracking, benchmarking and challenging variances. -Development of financial processes across the new division to ensure operational efficiency. Where possible to drive automation via utilisation of financial packages and excel. -Management and development of a part qualified management accountant and assist in her progression within the business. -Oversee the management fee invoices and OPEX recharges to ensure a strong control environment. - Deputising for the divisional Financial Controller. The business is looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA , ACCA or ACA) with strong management accounting exposure that may have been cultivated within any sector. The post holder will be an excellent communicator who is very much interested in business facing activities due to the highly visible nature of this appointment across the senior leadership team.
