Overview
About the company: Family run food manufacturer based in West London. About the role: As Supply Chain Manager you will work closely with senior managerial and directorial staff to provide administrative support to the department and Sales team. You will develop an extensive knowledge of the company and additional knowledge of the products from manufacturing to distribution processes, while being capable of dealing directly with trade customers as well as consumers on a daily basis. Responsibilities: Lead the business across the total supply chain, from procurement, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, logistics and supply chain team. Monitor all transfers, deliveries, replenishments and stock movements at the factories and the warehouse. Liaise with suppliers for production schedules, collections, availability of raw materials, product specifications, product labels, microbiological information, testing, trials and technical details, improving performance in the manufacturing environment. Liaise with suppliers for raw ingredients storage and traceability monitoring through production processes and controls, site and equipment maintenance and procurement, to finished product packing and onward distribution. Liaise with customers regarding new line forms, product set up, technical enquiries, self-audit questionnaires, certifications, product launches and events. Order processing and delivery booking, raising purchase orders, raising invoices and credit notes, submitting monthly sales reports for self-invoicing clients. Resolve delivery discrepancies with suppliers and customers. Analyse demand based on seasonal aspects and buying partners, plan forecasts and monthly sales reports. Create and update all policies and procedures adhering to food safety and health and safety legislation. Create all technical documentation from NPD, product specification sheets, outer cases and pallet configuration, product labels, new line forms, audit reports, barcodes, SKU codes, ingredient declaration, allergen and microbiological information. Create all export documents for shipments going outside of the EU – Health Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Packing List, Supplier Declaration, Freezing Declaration, LOT Codes and Ingredient Declaration. Be the main point of contact for temperature-controlled suppliers, new suppliers and customers. Training and support to the supply chain team. Key Skills/Experience Required: Be numerically proficient to deal with invoicing, promotions and general orders. Experience of the exportation of food to global markets. A keen eye for detail to ensure all orders are processed correctly without mistakes. Be data savvy and organised – quick with data and numbers. Work well to strict deadlines and daily tasks. Be able to multi-task. Degree educated or minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role – supply chain management, logistics or operations. SAGE or similar software.
