Project Buyer - Civil Engineering
Overview
Our client, a renowned Civil Engineering contractor is looking to recruit a Project Buyer to support a major tunnelling project in London. Ideally candidates will have experience working on larger civil engineering projects. Key duties associate with this role include:- - Purchasing materials at economic rates to meet the quantities and qualities expected for the required programme on the project. - Development of strong relationships with suppliers. - Material price comparisons from suppliers on each material - eg concrete - Maintain price variation reports as required. - Liaise with project staff with any potential for changes with material requirements and or variations of specification. - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies. - Maintain and develop strong and collaborative working relationships with supply chain.
