Overview
Overview: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to work on a permanent basis with a reputable manufacturing business based in the Colchester, Essex area. The Quality Technician will be required to manage, monitor, test, and inspect manufactured components and products to make sure they meet specified standards and are manufactured using the correct tools, materials and processes. This is a great role for someone who is looking for a new challenge and has worked in Quality Engineering or testing within a reputable manufacturing business. Role Responsibilities: Provide general support to the QA department in all quality-related matters. Lead cross-functional Quality Assurance activities. Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and service functions to achieve optimum results throughout the product life cycle. Provide assurance for product assembly processes, co-ordinating directly with Operations to resolve issues prior to product sign off. Identify risks associated with quality and provide plans to mitigate or manage such risks. Work with manufacturing to identify product improvement opportunities using six sigma methodology and lean techniques. Support the introduction of new product launch. Work closely with suppliers to improve quality and supplier performance. Candidate Requirements HNC / ONC in Quality / Production / Process engineering. Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience in quality, engineering, supply chain or a similar environment. Good and effective communication skills. Experience in ISO9001 Lean and or Six Sigma experience Skilled in the assessment of manufacturing processes and the use of Microsoft Office / ERP systems. Ability to work independently, professionally and a strong problem solver.
