Multi-Skilled Production Engineer Based in Newcastle Salary circa £38,000 Excellent Benefits The UK's leading bakery retailer is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join the team at their Baliol Business Park facility in Newcastle. On top of your basic salary benefits will include… o Generous employee discount scheme, offering you up to 50% off o After 6 months service you may be eligible for the profit share scheme o Private medical insurance, health insurance, management pension scheme, plus plenty more The Role Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring all on-site mechanical and electrical equipment is working as effectively and efficiently as possible. The role would involve all aspects of trouble shooting, problem solving Agrg666nd project work, and you would be expected to look for and implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team. In addition you will also be required to plan and carry out preventative maintenance in order to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is achieved at all times. You would work an average of 39 hours per week, Mon - Sat rotating shift pattern, 9am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6am. Full flexibility across all shifts is required. The Candidate o Multi Skilled Manufacturing Engineer/Technician, preferably Food Sector o Educated to a minimum HND/HNC standard or equivalent experience o Experience of PLC Automated control systems and processes particularly Siemens operating systems Step 5/7 - Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi. PLC Fault finding & analysis o Experience of working to planned maintenance schedules o Electrical bias - multi-skilled competency for electrical systems The Company One of the UK's leading and most well-known bakery retailers.
