Overview

Research Engineer in an emerging set of technologies, where people's daily lives are connected seamlessly, between electrified mobility and energy technologies, through connected services. The successful candidate will join an ambitious applied research team, working in multiple domains, in alignment with offices and business teams. This role is an opportunity to actively explore emerging trends & technologies, to develop experimental proof of concepts and demonstrate customer centric value of innovative research concepts, with potential global rollout . Supplier management is a key requirement for ensuring that high quality output and expected timelines are met. The candidate should have awareness of emerging technology landscape, with hands-on experience of: 1. Development of API driven proof of concepts, 2. Requirement analysis & specification of SaaS architecture 3. Continuous Integration, deployment & testing requirements with existing systems 4. Knowledge of scalability, security, data privacy and futureproofing concerns 5. Evaluating case studies for enhancing customer value in wider ecosystem 6. Experimentally validating hypotheses to establish business model 7. Project planning and technical report writing, for suppliers and for management reviews. Strong communication skills are essential for building working relationships within and outside of the company.  University Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Communication, Information Technology, or equivalent  Proven knowledge of communication protocols for example and not limited to: TCP/IP, HTTPS and MQTT  Knowledge of network / applications integration experience with cloud based / IoT technology is desirable  Knowledge of major cloud services and IOT solutions (AWS/ Azure)  Excellent and broad technical knowledge - Understanding of a wide variety of connectivity technologies and how they interact.  An adept communicator, able to build good relationships across multiple complex teams is a key skill.  Proactive and must demonstrate high-level of self-motivation.  A flexible attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.  The role requires occasional travel overseas This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89922593
