Head of Engineering (Maintenance/Manufacturing/Projects) Harlow £50,000 - £54,000 Basic Salary Pension 24 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays Head of Engineering required in an industry leading manufacturer who are recruiting due to expansion. This is a great time to join the business as they are opening a brand new, purpose built food processing facility, which will be truly state of the art and the best of its kind in the UK. The successful candidate will have previous Engineering/Maintenance Management experience ideally within a food or FMCG, although all manufacturing environments will be considered. The role will firstly be based at the existing side and will involve managing the team there, throughout 2020 you will be involved in the commissioning of a brand new, highly automated facility, so candidates will ideally have an understanding of PLCs and SCADA. Candidates will need to be multi skilled/electrically biased and it is desirable that candidates have a knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS/EAM). Candidates with CompEx training are encouraged to apply though this is not essential. In this role you will be responsible for a team of 5 Engineers in a fast paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for appraisals, disciplinaries, training, as well as managing the Engineering budget. The company are moving into a purpose built manufacturing facility in September 2020, and you will be involved in the planning and commissioning stages of this, whilst also taking control of the transition of the Engineering function from the old site to new. You will also be heavily involved in project based work to ensure new machinery is running at optimum efficiency. The company are a well-established and market leading manufacturer in their sector, this is a brand new role where you will be a key figure within the business.
