Our client manages the properties for some of the most prestigious and reputable developments in London and they are looking for a client accountant ideally with prior service charge accounting knowledge and experience to assist their team. The role of a client accountant can vary, depending on the demands or requirements from the client, however the key duties involved include: Responsibility for the cash and funds within their assigned portfolio, including rents, service charges and deposits Produce accurate reconciliation of reports including VAT, cash recs and service charges Represent Savills in a client facing role, maintaining a professional manner at all times, building relationships with clients over time Ensure sufficient communication with the central finance department and other internal teams associated with the properly portfolio Maintain Service charge funds for each property under management Handle any property transfer in accordance with RICS guidelines Manage housekeeping of Lease and financial data on company databases Any ad-hoc projects as per the Head of Accounts or senior management Due to the size of the clients' portfolio, the successful candidate will be likely working jointly with another client accountant and therefore needs to be able to work well with others within a cohesive team environment. In addition to being a strong team player, our client is looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience: Knowledge of RICS guidelines in order to provide best level of service and advise to the client At least three years of experience within Property Management Accounting, with at least some commercial real estate experience Prior exposure to property management systems is essential for this role An ability to work independently, as well as assisting other junior members of staff, is crucial for this position A part-qualified accountant would be preferable but it is not a pre-requisite If you believe that this opportunity would be a good fit for your skills and experience then please feel free to apply.
