Analyst Programmer / Guidewire Consultant - Business Analyst, Analyst Programmer, Guidewire (Insurance Claims Management Software). Permanent. £45k - £65k. Home Based / Consultancy on client sites (UK wide) 1 day work from home. Consultancy organisation seeks an Analyst Programmer / Guidewire Consultant to work on Guidewire integration consultancy assignments within Insurance Companies across the UK. The company is a Guidewire Gold Partner/Reseller/Consultancy with a broad range of high profile insurance clients. You will play a key role in the delivery of the industry standard Guidewire Claims Management application and integration of the system into the end-user client's existing infrastructure prior to the decommission of legacy systems (by the end-user's teams). We welcome applications from candidates from across the UK and further afield (Europe) providing that you are prepared to travel to client sites across the UK (largely in London) and stay in temp accommodation on a weekly (4 - 5 nights) basis for up to 18 months. All expenses paid. To achieve these goals you will work onsite at client sites (Insurance/Reinsurance Companies, Underwriters, Brokers) largely in the City of London but occasionally at other sites across the UK. You will work as part of the end-user client's team during an assignment (4 days per week) liaising with the client's technical teams and work from home on Friday's. Between assignments you will be "on the bench" (home based) but continue to be paid your salary whilst you await a new assignment. The Analyst Programmer / Guidewire Consultant will work within a pure AGILE/Scrum methodology, use their Business Analysis skills and experience to work with end user clients to gather requirements, produce requirement and functional design documents, estimate time scales and demonstrate features to key personnel within the end user environments. The Analyst Programmer / Guidewire Consultant will then support the integration process but conducting configuration work of Guidewire and make amendments utilising Java/GOSU or changes based on OO principles developed with skills such as C#. Finally UAT testing will form a part of this role. We are searching for an Analyst Programmer / Guidewire Consultant who has been working in a similar capacity. This position is largely BA focussed with an element of Guidewire Configuration and programming. Experience gained as an Analyst Programmer / Consultant with Guidewire experience is required. Understanding of the Insurance/Claims management process and Guidewire itself will be critical in the delivery of your consultancy services to the end user clients. You will have an understanding of Database Structures and Data Modelling and be able to read an Entity Relationship Diagram as well as XML data used to describe objects and attributes and programming. Ideally you will have been working within a consultancy capacity engaging end-user clients' technical and business personal although experience gained within a purely development capacity is happily considered. Excellent communication skills are pre-requisite. You may have been working within an Insurance Company that has implemented Guidewire, for the vendor itself or another gold partner in the Guidewire Partner network. Alternatively you may be working for one of the big 4 consultancies: KPMG, Ernst & Young (EY), Cap Gemini (CG) or Price Waterhouse Cooper (PwC).
