Overview

We are looking for a skilled Head of Collections/Recoveries who will be accountable for the strategic direction of collections and recoveries strategies. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and optimisation of collections and recoveries strategies, ensuring all debts are managed appropriately and in line with internal policy and regulation. You will be responsible for the close monitoring of KPIs and the deliver of risk appetite for collections and recoveries while working closely with the Head of Operations to build a comprehensive and scalable framework to monitor and assess the business overall collections and recoveries strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Further development of existing collections and recoveries policies and ensure they are scalable and in line with the best industry practices Take full ownership of identifying new opportunities to enhance existing strategies to improve both debt recovery rates and the cost of recoveries in the short term Document all collections and recoveries strategies/approach to efficiently and effectively collecting overdue debt across different segments of the loan book in a compliant way and with focus on TCF Design and deliver of a data-driven, comprehensive, coherent and cost-effective strategy roadmap for all collections and recoveries strategies Ensure an effective and value-adding end to end operating model and associated policies - driving optimal debt recovery performance balanced with fair customer treatment experience - including the best use of technology to maximise strategies efficiencies including the introduction and integration of self-serve, automated and digital solutions which enhance the customer journey as well as diving business efficiency SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience of working in consumer lending and have a proven track record of successfully delivering debt collections and recoveries strategies Excellent analytical and numerical skills to turn data into comprehensive reporting and MI and actionable insights Excellent understanding of FCA guidelines and how they apply to collections and recoveries strategies Proven track record in working collaboratively with operations, compliance and risk to ensure all customer communications and strategies are compliant Strategic thinker who is a strong influencer at a senior level, and able to gain support for and deliver against business plans A strategic mindset that can drive the business forward to meet business plan whilst operating within risk appetite
