Telesales Manager – Food Manufacturing Location: Leicestershire Salary: 30-38,000 bonus benefits Background Our brand leading Client has taken the decision to invest in setting up a new department which will service the needs of both current and new clients by delivering a first class customer experience which will in turn secure the relationships and provide an opportunity to upsell and share new products that are coming in to the portfolio. Reporting to the Food Service Controller, the Telesales Specialist is a new role for our Client’s organisation that will involve taking current daily order calls, calling current and canvassing new customers. This is a key role to deliver our business growth targets and get closer to our customer base. You will ensure customer service levels remain extremely high, while maximising sales opportunities with current customers and seeking out new opportunities as part of the foodservice growth strategy. Customer service is paramount, but delivering sales budgets is a close second. You will be part of a team of Key Account managers and delivery drivers who are focused on customer service and winning new business. The role: Set up of the Telesales team and ways of working Key point of contact with our existing customers Contact current customers to take daily orders, Taking a high volume of incoming calls which include customer complaints, queries, orders etc. Selling promotional activity and NPD to existing customers Associated administration to record calls, orders, sales, complaints Be the point of contact for customer complaints Develop and own the customer data base Support winning back lost customers New business Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed Canvassing or quantifying leads for the sales team to follow up Participate in off site business development events and attending trades shows where required Build a small fully engaged team that are responsible and accountable within their roles Conduct regular 1-2-1’s & review on a timely basis progress against personal & company objectives Manage skills development and training plans. Succession plan Create an environment where knowledge is shared, and best practice is adopted. Implement all Company policy and procedures within the workplace Give constructive feedback in a way that drives performance and encourages commitment to achieving targets The person: Degree educated or equivalent Solid experience of working in a telesales environment, where customer service and meeting sales budgets are equally important ideally in the food or beverages manufacturing industry Experience of working as a team leader / manager Experience of setting up or growing a telesales function Good knowledge of relevant computer programs eg CRM software and telephone systems Experience of working pro-actively with customers to re- solve issues and concerns Great communication skills (verbal) Quick to build relationships over the phone & face to face Team management skills Able to prioritise and to keep others accountable Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels eg Commercial managers & Direct Delivery teams 1 st class planning and organisational skills, Works well under pressure with a clear, calm head Results orientated and tenacious but with a persuasive manner To apply please email your CV
