Data Analyst, Data Scientist, R, Python – flexible/remote working This is a great opportunity for a Data Analyst / Data Scientist – either with commercial experience, or who has recently completed their academic studies and is looking to establish a career as a Data Scientist – to join an Oxford-based, technology and data-driven scale-up, working in the important field of medical/healthcare data. Working from home, together with both flexible working and reduced hours are all available - the successful Data Analyst / Data Scientist is only required to be in the Oxford office for a minimum of 20% of the time, so a day a week or a week a month, etc. Reduced hours are also available. The Role Working within a project-based environment, the Data Analyst / Data Scientist will be working within a truly talented team, who are working with pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare companies around the globe who are looking to gather Real World Evidence (RWE) data for their research needs. Using R and Python, the Data Analyst / Data Scientist will apply a creative approach to developing analytics, visualisations and insights, contributing to the management, analysis, interpretation and communication of statistical information, including organizing large datasets. A degree, MSc or PhD with a scientific, public or digital health or numerate component, or equivalent relevant experience working as a Health Data Analyst or Data Scientist. Experience – academic or commercial – of working with “human data”. Whilst public health or clinical data would be of most relevance, other, similarly-structured data such as housing, education or employment or other survey data could also be relevant. Experience of coding in R and/or Python. The ability to analyse, present, interpret and communicate data outcomes appropriately for different audiences. What Next?
