If you enjoy helping out friends and family with their technical issues, or enjoy building PC's and providing that essential first line support then Lost in IT want to hear from you Initial duties include: You'll learn how to provide day to day technical support, primarily over the telephone, and through using remote administration tools Identifying clients problems, logging calls, and trying to provide a first time fix Occasionally visiting client sites alongside a consultant who you can shadow and learn from Managing call queues and communication with clients keeping them up-to-date. Provide support to on-site Technical Consultants Desired skills Good technical awareness and demonstrable all round computer skills, either self taught or through certification You must be keen to learn and to fit into the working environment Personal qualities Natural interest in technology Keen Learner Good attitude Problem solving skills Determined Desired qualifications GCSE grades C 9-4 or above in English and mathematics/or equivalent Training to be provided The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity. Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles.
