Job Description

Azure Architect Location - Hemel Hempstead Rate - 500 - 600 per day ( Inside of IR35 ) Length - 3 month initial contract In-Scope * On-site Cloud Architect to support the Cloud strategy working within the customer team on-site as an anchor point, as per the agreed Responsibilities. * Oversight and review of service performance by business project management office. * Quotation, evaluation and capability to bring other expertise in as required for the project. Key Responsibilities * Comprehensive understanding and ability to advise across * General IT topics (e.g.: networking, storage, protocols, security) * Key Azure services (NSGs, resource groups, vNets, subscriptions, peering, express route, APIM, ASE, Key Vaults, AD, App Services, Application Insights & Alerts, WAFs, VPNs) * Key Azure PaaS facilities such as Service Bus, Event Hub, MS-SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Data Gateway, Cognitive Services. * Access to a library of architectural best practices for things such as provisioning, continuous deployment & optimization of costs. * Ability to automate common Azure functions (e.g. provisioning, maintenance etc) through the use of scripting. * Help with the interpretation of RCAs from Microsoft. * Assist with the planning of changes in Azure (e.g. estimations of time required for changes). * Act as the gateway between the customer and current teams. This includes estimating projects, engaging the right people in the business and, where possible, providing oversight on projects.
