Overview
Are you a serial fixer? You like things to run smoothly, so you make sure you’re front and centre to help out if something has gone wrong or needs tweaking. Manufacturing plants live and die by an efficient operatingprocess, and you’ll be part of the maintenance team that ensures production carries on come rain or shine. Your previous experience in a food, pharmaceutical or automotive environment, means you’ll understand the different nuances these sectors have. You’ll be multiskilled with an electrical and mechanical bias. You will have a recognised and appropriate apprenticeship and 17th or 18th edition wiring regulation certification. You’ll also have PLC experience (Siemens S7 & Rockwell), so you’ll know how to use a laptop to diagnose faults. There are a few other requirements that should go without saying, but we’ll mention them anyway. You’ll be a strong team player who has the expertise, patience and flexibility to be a real asset. Furthermore, you’ll thrive under pressure and won’t get flustered when the going gets tough. So, there’s the requirements, but who’s it for and what do you get?
