The opportunity: You'll be joining an engineering team that is made up of software engineers, DevOps engineers, product engineer - altogether there are around 20 of them. This is a brand-new position within their Product Engineering team, due to natural growth within the business. As one of their software engineers, you'll be working with a range of exciting technologies from object-oriented such as Java, Python to functional programming languages such as Scala, Clojure. You'll also encounter technologies such as NodeJS, ReactJS, GraphQL, TypeScript, Kafka, Elasticsearch… They aren't looking for someone with all this experience but more the desire to learn and work within that sort of environment. What we're looking for from you: A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience. Degree within STEM subject (ideally computer science) OR several years of professional experience. Experience with functional or object-oriented languages (Java, Clojure or Python are ideal). Experience or familiarity with front end technologies such as modern JS frameworks (React or TypeScript ideally). You are aware of best software practices and keen to implement them. Excited and motivated to learn new technologies.
