Development Engineer (Product Design & Manufacturing) Based at our Altham site Competitive Salary and Excellent Benefits. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Engineer to join our Design & Development team and take responsibility for p roviding technical advice and support on new product development projects , producing prototypes through 3D printing and model making . This highly varied and hands on role requires applicants who can think outside the box to arrive at the best solutions to meet design needs, s upport ing the Design Team advising on best practice in assembling product, arranging and coordinating test build programmes for new products and p roviding training support to internal and external install ation teams . As an experienced Development Engineer you will have a minimum of 2 years’ product development experience ideally within furniture manufacturing with knowledge and understanding of castings, injection mouldings, aluminium and plastic extrusions and fabrications. Comfortable working under pressure with a constantly changing workload, ideal applicants will be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work, able to read, understanding and interpret engineering drawings and discuss ideas using industry standard engineering terminology and have a full understanding of test standards and the role they play in product design. Educated to HNC/HND level in an Engineering or a design related discipline you will be proficient in Microsoft packages and experienced in the use of 3D CAD & Printing using Solidworks.
