Metallurgy Engineer Working for a world leading Subsea Oil & Gas company with sites located across the globe the successful candidate will work within the Metallurgical Engineering department. The equipment utilised for this work; wellheads, trees, manifold components, are often used at depths in excess of 2,000ft, meaning that the need to carefully monitor and define the materials capable of surviving these challenging environments is essential. Responsibilities Working within the Lead Metallurgy team you will be supporting global systems engineering projects for the Metallurgy Function. You will be involved in the development of material specifications that are issued to suppliers, conducting technical audits, failure analysis of components and reviewing tendering and quotations, you will play a key part in global metallurgy developments. Requirements For this position, we are looking for a recently qualified graduate, with an educational background in either Metallurgy or Materials Science. Offering a rotational training programme this role offers the opportunity to work in various engineering functions to understand the business and build in depth industry knowledge.
