This new Data Scientist role is responsible for analysing extremely large datasets, creating bespoke client reports, exploring new datasets and building new algorithms to deliver services to clients. The role is open to highly successful graduates through to those with relevant commercial experience. As a professional services firm all projects are client based – therefore, while not a prerequisite, the ability and inclination to be outward facing is beneficial and could lead to international travel (NY & SF). Responsibilities Research, develop, and test supervised and unsupervised learning models. Data visualisation, report creation, and dash-boarding. Explore a data set, categorise, cleanse, and explain. Responsible for designing, developing algorithms, programs, methods, and processes. Data Scientist Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a subject such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc. Master’s Degree preferred. 2 or more years of relevant experience working with large datasets. Solid data analytics skills. Proven proficiency with SQL, Python, and Pandas. Happy writing code in python. Must be able to build, execute and test algorithms and models . Ability to understand business problems, draw conclusions from data and recommend actions on how best to solve these problems. Experience with TV viewing data, the TV industry. Media Industry experience would be advantageous. Strong communications skills, ability to document requirements and work with other team members. Self-starter, willing to get hands dirty and “make it happen.” Visa sponsorship is NOT available. Data Scientist Skills Advanced SQL, ideally on Amazon Redshift. Python and pandas and Jupyter notebooks. Data visualization, report creation, and dashboarding. Highly proficient mathematics, including probability. Professional/polished communicator. Team player. Extremely detail oriented and organized. Resourceful. Enthusiastic and positive. A very high level of personal integrity.
