Production Operative ( FLT Counterbalance license req) £9p/h increasing to £9.23 after 12 weeks & 28 days paid annual leave increasing to 33 after 12 weeks, weekly pay Temporary to Permanent position South Kirkby (Pontefract) 8am- 4pm Monday – Friday (37.5hr week) – will be changing to shifts in the coming months between the hours of 6am and 10pm, most likely rotating mornings and afternoons. Immediate Start Due to an increase in demand, a great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a leading distributor in the South Kirkby area of Pontefract. They employ over 7,000 people in over 25 countries. As a Production Operative / FLT Driver you will be working in a busy, fast-paced environment, using your own initiative to get the job done. Due to the nature of this industry, the successful candidate will require an excellent eye for detail particularly when handling stock in this warehouse. This position will include driving a counterbalance forklift truck so a full valid license is required. The successful Production Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver must be aware that this role is a Production role with some FLT work included at times and therefore you must be happy to carry out the production jobs alongside FLT work. Other duties include: Preparing orders Loading and unloading deliveries Checking stock is labelled correctly Preparing orders ready for dispatch Following instructions Working with close attention to detail Updating IT system with stock movements Please apply if you have a full valid counterbalance forklift truck license. A Reach license would be preferable however is not essential. IT skills are also desirable.
