Overview
My client, a Transport and Logistics company based in the Manchester area is looking to recruit a Traffic Planner on a 4on/4off permanent basis. You will be expected to take responsibility for the traffic planning of routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure the customer receives a first class service in a cost effective way.The key aspects of this role include- have a good understanding of driver regulations - booking agency driver's as required - Good geographical knowledge - Ensure SAFED is adhered to at all times - planning routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure smoother running of the operation - prioritising workload and driver de-brief'sThe main requirements for the role include- Traffic management/planning experience - dealing with VOSA Compliance - Problem Solving - working unsupervised, managing time and meeting tight deadlines - Strong IT Skills including Excel and knowledge of Stirling would be advantageous - Team player who is self-motivatedThe shifts are 0600-1800 on a 4on/4off shift pattern and the salary on offer is up to £26,000.
