Overview
We are looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer with Automotive, Aerospace or Defence experience to join our engineering client on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality engineering support to the supply chain and supplier development, to ensure that the product is of the required quality and delivery conditions. Also, you will assist with the quality certification of potential new suppliers, auditing of new and existing suppliers and the maintenance, communication and improvement of supplier performance metrics. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Perform system Process, product and Business Continuity audits of nominated suppliers and co-ordinate the completion of non-conformance issues arising. 2. Maintain an up to date list of approved suppliers including a record of their approvals and accreditations. 3. Plan and maintain an audit schedule of key suppliers in association with the Sourcing Group. 4. Perform initial assessments (desk or site survey as required) of potential new suppliers. 5. Perform investigations with suppliers on any non-conforming issues arising including the development of Quality Improvement Plans as required. 6. Prepare maintain and improve metrics of quality performance (reject product levels and OTIF performance) of key suppliers. 7. Participate in internal quality investigations which may require input regarding supply chain information. 8. Manage Supplier Improvement Programmes with Key suppliers. 9. Complete any Sourcing / Supplier projects as required by the Supplier Improvement Manager
