Job Description

The role: Supplier Relationship Manager Reports to: Senior Supplier Relationship Manager The Who? A Supplier Relationship Manager to undertake a key role within our organisation. The purpose of the role is to manage supplier relationships, review supplier contracts, negotiate terms, manage service levels and get the best outcome for the company whilst building and strengthening relationships with suppliers. Here's what you need to do: Supplier Management: * Build commercial relationships with a supplier base within a specific category * Ensure that all legal paperwork within the supplier base is up to date and relevant * Introduce a pattern of visits and communication on a regular basis to discuss key elements of the business relationship to include (among others): - Forecast - Payment terms - NPD - Leadtime improvement - POs - Target performance - Master Data Supplier Base: * Provision of regular feedback within the SRM Team to ensure best practice is carried out with key suppliers * Proactively help positively shape the supplier landscape in order to best protect the operations of the business * Support shaping best practice with our key suppliers in order to elevate our supplier base with an open and collaborative approach Cross Functional Working * Working closely with the NPD and wider operations team * Closely working with the NPD to proactively support and provide recommendation from product concept to launch and beyond * Provide the operational team clean master data for all SKUs within the supplier base * Work with operations to continuously improve ways of working both internally and with our suppliers Requirements You need to know and have: * Minimum of 5 years experience * Contract negotiation and contracts administration * Experience of working with suppliers and negotiating terms and best value * The ability to develop strong supplier relationships * Experience of identifying and managing risks in contracts * Excellent planning skills with keen attention to detail * A proactive, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously but also engage regularly within a team environment * Flexible, able to influence change in a fast-growing business * Ability to run regular role alongside project work within the department * Experience with ERP systems, preferably Netsuite. This role will involve international travel, visiting a supplier base predominantly based in Europe. Whats so great about this opportunity? Youll learn.
