Overview
I am looking to recruit a Production Shift manager for a well know food manufactures. Key Areas of Responsibility: Maximise production of raw material. Ensure that handling of product is in conformance with Company specification. Monitor all stages of processing on production lines – yields, performance, waste, production targets, etc. Control of raw materials incoming and outgoing Ensure all products conform to customer and company specifications, both incoming and outgoing. Labour utilisation and efficiency ensuring that training programmes are implemented. Monitor staffing levels and maintain overtime working to acceptable levels. Involvement with Health & Safety forum and ensure that safe working practices are adhered to. Create procedures relating to working practices and including safety issues. Absence monitoring. People Management Control, supervise and develop the staff on all shifts. Ensure Chargehands/Team Leaders have staff, materials and all relevant information to complete tasks given. Communication In the absence of the Production Manager, daily meetings with all Supervisors, Technical and Engineering to review previous day’s production, addressing breakdowns, performance, shortfalls and update with any information or production changes. Communicate Company policy to all staff. Report to the Factory Manager on issues affecting production. Liaise with Factory Manager/Technical Manager to ensure systems and practices meet quality criteria. Liaise with other departments and respective Management as necessary. Daily contact with suppliers to ensure continuous supply. The shifts will be 6-2 and 2-10 on rotation with occasional weekend cover Please give me a call for more details 07983 554964
