Overview
FPGA Engineer Our client is a highly successful global company. The FPGA Engineer will be joining the R&D team in the UK which consists of circa 20 staff, including system architecture, hardware, software and firmware, and mechanical engineers and programmers developing the next generation DAS and digital repeaters including on–board train repeaters. The engineering team provides engineering support to the outsourced production lines. Technology includes RF, digital, software and mechanical design and development, cellular and public safety technologies, wireless system engineering, providing cellular and public safety standards and certification processes. As a FPGA Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Degree level. O-RAN and C-RAN knowledge Filter synthesis knowledge VHDL and C++ programming. Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) standards define an interface between Radio Equipment Control (REC) and Radio Equipment (RE). Experience of working with Analogue An understanding of EMC and power supply. Have analogue software-defined radio expertise and a radio engineering background (not just digital signal processing) As a FPGA Engineer your main responsibilities will involve: Designing, developing, modifying and evaluates digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Develop the code to provide the functionality of the product. If there is new product development, then this person will be working with the Architects to define the functionalities. Assembling the prototype equipment, embedding the code and checking the functionality. Speak directly with customers to understand and implement what the customer wants.
