JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- East Oxfordshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £26,000- £35,000 per annum dependent on experience (please advise) My client works within manufacturing and are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis, in the East Oxfordshire area. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Qualified to Degree / HND/ HNC level in Mechanical Engineering or similar Be proficient with using CAD for design i.e Solid Edge, SolidWorks or similar Have the desire to progress and step up within the company long term Be able to take designs from concept through to manufacture Have a good understanding of engineering materials properties and manufacturing methods Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team Any knowledge of fluid handling, pumps or household goods would be beneficial Be proficient with using Microsoft Office The Mechanical Design Engineer will involve: Processing design briefs as part of the Engineering team Developing solutions for products and applications Designing and developing new products and assemblies using Solid Edge CAD Attending department meetings about project progress Producing supporting technical information such as BOM’s, costings and calculations Also designing and developing enhancements for the existing product range If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
