The Locals Chelsea is an independent restaurant located in SW1 (Chelsea/Westminster) area of London serving modern european cuisine. It is is a healthy eating inspired restaurant, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and early dinner. We open daily from 9am till 7pm. We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. We require a fair amount of experience since it is going to be a very proactive role. Who we are looking for: - Enthusiastic professional with 1 years experience in a similar position OR working/ed at the senior CDP/Junior Sous chef level - Someone with a proven track record in delivering exceptional dishes in a time pressured environment, taking responsibility for the quality of each and every dish served - person with the ability to work in a busy and fast environment - Familiar with modern cooking and now-a-day trends - Food and safety, health and safety level 2 minimum - Eligibility to work in the UK - Good level of speaking English What we expect you to do: - Be hands on & support your Head Chefs , assisting development and inspiring your team - Ordering and controlling stock while achieving and reporting profit for your site. - Be an active Sous Chef that can cope well leading a professional team and a creative passionate cook The Job conditions - FULL TIME position, contact - 48 hours per week split over 5 working days - 2 days off per week - Pension regulation/payments - 28 more paid days of holiday per year - NO late finishes - Great work/life balance (latest shift is till 7pm) This job was originally posted as www.caterer.com/job/89832699
