The opportunity - An exciting opportunity to work in a senior role with plenty of scope to progress in a truly forward thinking independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisers. Our client is in an exciting period of organic growth and has demonstrated immense success during recent years, they are currently looking to make a strategic hire to sit within their Business Services team. The role - core responsibilities which are non-exhaustive are to: Manage the small business unit Full statutory accounts preparation for a wide range of clients typically from start-ups, entrepreneurs and owner managed business Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and Corporation Tax returns Plenty of project work, client liaison and advising clients on a number of accounting areas to include; incorporation, shareholder remuneration and all accounting advice relevant to small entrepreneurial business owners About you - the portfolio is of a significant size, coupled with the overseeing of staff (relevant review work) will make this a busy and challenging role particularly as the firm continues to grow. The role will suit an accounting professional who is ACA or ACCA Qualified with relevant post qualification experience. You may be currently working as a Business Services Manager in a larger firm and seek a move to develop your professional career in a more autonomous environment. Or perhaps you are in a smaller independent firm and have reached a "glass ceiling" and need to make a move to a young and progressive firm. You will enjoy working in a highly professional and energetic environment and have relevant experience of advising similar types of clients coupled with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements. The salary band of up to £55000 has been set by Fletcher George as a guide and a generous benefits package is also offered. Fletcher George is a Leatherhead based financial recruiter.
