Overview

Our client is a multinational loyalty and benefits company, who are seeking a Buyer on a permanent basis. This will be based in their luxurious offices based in Central London paying up to £50,000. The Procurement Executive will undertake a range of sourcing and negotiation, analytical, development, reporting and administrative activities in day to day support of the Procurement Director, both in developing the Procurement function internally, and in delivering key supplier sourcing and relationship management activities externally. This is an ideal role for an aspiring Procurement professional looking to take their development to the next level, or for someone suitably skilled looking to transition into a career in strategic procurement. What is expected of the Buyer; - Deliver projects in support of the Procurement Director to drive functional development within the organisation - Support the full end to end delivery of sourcing activities including actively supporting requirements definition, tender package development, proposal analysis, contract negotiations and procurement governance - Conduct detailed supplier, spend and contract analysis, reporting and data capture - Produce key functional reports and metrics - Deliver communications plans to help develop and embed the Procurement function - Support key internal and supplier meetings, ensuring minutes and action logs are developed and maintained to drive delivery - Build positive relationships across the organisation and collaborate with all relevant cross functional and matrix teams; provide an initial central point of contact for the Procurement team What we look for in a Buyer; - Demonstrable understanding of the role of Procurement and how it can add value at both a tactical and strategic level - Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within both our client and supplier organisations - Self-motivated, able to deal with complexity and ambiguity, and enjoys working under pressure - Excellent presentation skills and the ability to synthesise detailed and complex information - Strong analytical skills and demonstrable experience of using data to provide insight - Collaborative in approach and experienced working cross functionally as part of project teams to drive positive outcomes - Demonstrable experience of using initiative and creativity to solve business problems - Degree (or equivalent) educated in a related field, or with professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS) What the successful Buyer will receive; - A base salary of up to £50,000 - Luxury offices - Modern working environment - Free fruit - Open bar on a Friday - Benefits package InterQuest Group is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy.
