Overview

We are recruiting to a key senior leadership role who will be critical in driving ambitious plans forward, and embedding a systemic social work practice model with children looked after and care leavers. This Head of Service will lead the statutory delivery for social work services for Children Looked After, including Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and Young People, young people Leaving Care and Fostering Services. The role also has lead responsibility for Adoption (integrated with Adopt London South). About you With Head of Service experience and knowledge, you will be a practice-focused, inspirational and confident leader; with a passion for supporting a social care workforce to be creative in their practice and continually striving to be the best that they can be. With a social work qualification and extensive post-qualification experience in both statutory, Public and Private Law Proceedings your track record of leading from the front will be essential. The pace of continuing change is demanding, so your resilience and ability to manage conflicting priorities will demonstrate your leadership skills.
