As a Pensions Administrator, you'll be dealing with pension scheme members, explaining how their pension works, handling complex calculations and keeping up to date with changes in the world of pensions. Skills and experience · At least four years in a DC or DB pension role · At least one PMI qualification or equivalent, or willing to study for one. · Excellent communication skills, with ability to express complicated ideas in a concise and clear way. · Ability to calculate pensions and interpret scheme rules · Good awareness of legislative issues · Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously, in line with the responsibilities that the role requires · Ability to meet client SLAs, contribute to good practice and foster the development of junior team members. You will be responsible for: Defined Benefit: Calculate complex retirement quotes and checking Calculate complex leavers benefits and checking Calculate complex death benefits and checking Calculate complex spouse's benefits and checking Check transfer value statements Defined Contribution - optional: Calculate complex retirement quotes and checking Calculate complex leavers benefits and checking Calculate complex death benefits and checking Calculate complex spouse's benefits and checking Check transfer value statements Other pensions tasks: Run/check pension increases Check renewals Manage/check trustee bank account Check Bulk mailings Check Bulk calculations Draft letters Draft reports Checking administration reports Provide support for Annual Report & Accounts Management of pensioner payrolls Review working practices suggesting enhancements Complete / check annual scheme returns Dealing with non-standard client/member queries Sign off valuation data Tate is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
