Overview
London South Bank University's IT Services Department is seeking an experienced IT Database Administrator to join the IT Infrastructure and Application Support Team on a permanent contract. The role will require a dynamic individual who will be responsible for the support, administration, maintenance and ongoing improvement of LSBU's key databases running on Oracle, SQL and My-SQL and related services, ensuring that these services are efficient, effective, and meet defined and agreed service levels. You will also support projects with other teams across the University. Working within a team, you will need great communications and customer interaction skills to build strong effective relationships with stakeholders ensuring that their needs and expectations are understood and managed and organisational confidence in the service delivered. Knowledge of: Windows/Linux admin basics Oracle, SQL and MySQL databases Oracle GoldenGate High availability features VMware Service Desk Software (Topdesk) As part of a team, you will be required to work an 8 hours shift pattern that covers the operational hours of between 8:00 AM to 6:00PM.
